EMILIA (Electric Mobility for Innovative Freight Logistics in Austria)
co-funded by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG)
EMILIA primarily focusses on the development and experimental implementation of novel freight logistics concepts for urban areas especially tailored towards a significant use of electric mobility ranging from e-cargo tricycles to alternative fuelled road trains.
WP 2 involves the Open Innovation process to support the transfer of knowledge and research results within the network as well as towards a wider community.
Open Innovation within EMILIA focuses on three main goals:
- Early involvement of relevant stakeholders and potential users already at project start to guarantee a fundamental basis for the development and re-evaluation of the project
- External distribution of project details, results and highlights to inform the public and to underline the benefit of the project
- Creating a professional cross-linking between the Austrian automotive supplier industry and the OEMs. (eg BMW, GM, VW, Renault,…)
